Life of a Neuron: ARTECHOUSE Experience

This past weekend my friends and I arrived at ARTECHOUSE to experience the Life of A Neutron exhibit.

The exhibit was an interesting and immersive experience.

The exhibit had several parts

  1. The 15 minute display of neurons going through life and death in the human body.

  2. The effects of stress and anxiety in the human brain.

  3. The effects of drugs (Imposter) in the human brain.

  4. The interactive "Eye" exhibit

The main exhibit was displayed in a large white studio for 15 minutes. Sounds echoed through as the art shifted from wall to wall. The colors transitioned with a different mood the "human" was feeling. When the exhibit starts, we hear a heart beat and the sound of a baby crying. At the end, we hear the heart slow and come to a complete stop. We watch the neurons turn pale, wither and break apart.
